Your digital PDF is emailed to you within 2 hours. Printed books are printed in 1-2 business days, then delivered in 3-7 business days in most countries (up to 10-15 business days for remote areas).

No, not after the PDF is generated, but you can edit the story details before you preview the book! After your story is generated, you'll have the opportunity to request specific changes to the story. You can provide feedback, and our system will make adjustments based on your input.

Yes, gift cards expire 1 year from the date of purchase.

You can check the expiration date when you enter the code at checkout. We recommend using your gift card well before the expiration date to ensure you don't lose any value.

No, only one gift card can be applied per order. However, if your gift card has a remaining balance after a purchase, that balance is saved and you can use it on future orders.

Gift card purchases are non-refundable. This is consistent with our overall no-refunds policy.

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Once purchased, the value can only be used toward book purchases on joonoo.art.

Every book can star one to five people: your child on their own, siblings together, or the whole family with parents and grandparents. You add each person, with a photo, while creating the book, and all 15 illustration styles are available however many people you include.

The more people in a book, the harder it is to capture every face closely. For the best likenesses, use clear, well-lit, front-facing photos, and check the free preview before you buy.

We take your family's privacy extremely seriously. Here's our comprehensive approach to protecting your photos and data:

🔒 Secure Storage

• Photos are stored in private, access-controlled storage
• We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers

🗑️ How Long We Keep Photos

• Book photos: Photos you upload for a book are kept in private storage and deleted automatically 30 days after your book is delivered (or 30 days after you create it, if you don't buy it). The face crops made from them are deleted at the same time. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time ([email protected]).
• Free family cover photos: Free-cover photos are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can also delete your free cover earlier with the link in its email. If you turn your cover into a book, a copy of the photo is kept with that book and deleted on the book's schedule (30 days after delivery, or 30 days after creation if the book isn't bought).
• Unbought previews are deleted after 30 days without activity (we email you first when we can). Purchased books' illustrations and PDFs are kept for 6 months after delivery, so download your PDF to keep it.

🚫 Never Sold or Used for Other Purposes

• We never sell your photos
• Photos are sent only to our AI illustration providers (currently OpenAI and Google) to draw your book's pictures, as described in our Privacy Policy
• We do not use your photos for training, marketing, or any other purpose
• Each photo is associated only with your specific book and is not accessible to other users

👤 Limited Access

• Only our automated systems process your photos - no human review except in case of errors or customer service requests
• Photos are only accessed by humans in rare cases of technical errors or customer service requests
• All system access is logged and monitored for security

In short: Your photos are used solely to create your personalized book, are never sold, and are deleted automatically 30 days after your book is delivered. Email [email protected] any time to have them deleted sooner.

Here's the complete lifecycle of your uploaded photos:

1. Upload: Your photo is uploaded over an encrypted connection to private storage
2. Photo Processing: We analyze the photo to detect features (hair color, skin tone, etc.) for character creation
3. Book Generation: The photo features guide us in creating personalized illustrations (the actual photo is not included in the book)
4. Storage: Photos you upload for a book are kept in private storage and deleted automatically 30 days after your book is delivered (or 30 days after you create it, if you don't buy it). Free-cover photos are deleted automatically after 30 days.
5. Book Files: Unbought previews are deleted after 30 days without activity (we email you first when we can). Purchased books' illustrations and PDFs are kept for 6 months after delivery, so download your PDF to keep it.

Yes, you have control over your data:

• Photos: Photos you upload for a book are kept in private storage and deleted automatically 30 days after your book is delivered (or 30 days after you create it, if you don't buy it). Free-cover photos are deleted automatically after 30 days. To have them deleted sooner, email us at [email protected].
• Generated Books: You can request deletion of your generated books and associated data by emailing us at [email protected]
• Account Information: You can request complete account deletion at any time

To request data deletion, please email us with your order number or the email address used for your purchase. We typically process deletion requests within 48 hours.

Important: There is no guarantee that the characters in your book will have a satisfactory likeness to the person(s) in your uploaded photographs. Our system will make its best effort to create resemblances, but results may vary.

What affects likeness quality:

• Photo quality: High-quality, well-lit, front-facing photos significantly improve the likelihood of resemblance
• Number of people: Each extra person makes a close likeness harder, so books with one or two people usually match their photos best (five is the maximum)

We provide a preview of your book before purchase, which gives you an idea of the final product quality. The preview is lower quality than the paid version, but shows the character likenesses you can expect.
