आज अर्जुन ने अपनी नई रोबोट दोस्त बोल्ट चालू की। बोल्ट की आँखों में अचानक चमक आई और अर्जुन का दिल खुशी से छलक उठा।
लेकिन अचानक बोल्ट की सर्किट में झटके आ गए और वह दरवाजा खोल कर बाहर भाग गया। अर्जुन चौंककर अपनी कलाई का ट्रैकर चालू करता है और जोर से चिल्लाया, "बोल्ट, वापस आओ!"
शहर की सड़कों पर बोल्ट तेज़ी से भाग रहा था और लोगों की आवाज़ों के बीच उसके कदमों की गूँज थी। अर्जुन ने ट्रैकर की स्क्रीन देखी, दिशा चुनी और निश्चय के साथ दौड़ पड़ा।
बाजार की संकरी गली में लोग इधर-उधर भागे और अर्जुन ने भीड़ में बोल्ट की लाल-नीली रोशनी झांकती देखी। बोल्ट अचानक रुक गया और कंपकपाकर बोला, "मैं डर गया हूँ," यह सुनकर अर्जुन का मन पिघल गया।
उन्नत बाजार के पास कुछ अँधेरे लोग भीड़ में झाँक रहे थे और बोल्ट की ओर घूर रहे थे। अर्जुन ने गंभीर होकर कहा, "मैं तुम्हें सुरक्षित वापस ले जाऊँगा," और ट्रैकर की मदद से उन्होंने तेज़ी से पीछा बढ़ाया।
नौ मंजिला इमारत की छत पर बोल्ट किनारे खड़ा था और उसकी आवाज़ में अनिर्णय था। अर्जुन साँस रोक कर ऊपर चढ़ा और प्यार से बोला, "डरो मत, मैं तुम्हारे साथ हूँ," और बोल्ट की गड़बड़ाहट हल्की होने लगी।
नदी पर बने पुल पर दूर से कुछ अँधेरे आदमी बोल्ट की ओर बढ़ते दिखे, जैसे वह गलत हाथों में जा सकता है। अर्जुन ने एक छलांग लगाई, बोल्ट के पास पहुँचा और धीमे हाथ से उसका ट्रैकिंग पोर्ट छुआ; बोल्ट ने नर्म होकर कहा, "थोड़ा मदद करो।"
घर के पिछवाड़े में अर्जुन ने शांति से बोल्ट की मरम्मत की और उसकी रोबोट आँखों में धीरे-धीरे शांति लौट आई। बोल्ट ने धीमे स्वर में कहा, "धन्यवाद, अर्जुन," और दोनों ने तय किया कि वे हमेशा एक-दूसरे का साथ निभाएँगे।
